Prototype Deltic DP1 ‘East Coast Mainline’ Sound Fitted OO Gauge

This model has been developed and produced in East Coast Lined Blue exclusively for Locomotion Models by Bachmann Europe Plc. It is fitted with DCC running capability and various Sound options.

DP1 was first used in service on the London Midland Region of British Railways in 1955, predominantly operating express London to Liverpool freight trains. Although DP1 did see a brief foray into passenger service, J.F Harrison ultimately rejected the design as he didn’t think high-speed engines suitable for railway applications.
