Southern Railway's 'Lord Anson', Lord Nelson Class steam locomotive No 861 leaves Victoria with the Golden Arrow train. Photograph by Bishop Eric Treacy. Treacy (1907-1978) was often allowed special access to many areas denied to other railway photographers. He also befriended many of the footplate crews, occasionally persuading them to create special smoke effects for the camera.
