By artist unknown [c1962]. Oil on canvas wrapped over blockboard, (original artwork dimensions 92x122x2.5cm/ 3x4ft). Panel from Science Museum former Aeronautics gallery [c1962-1994] showcase display of Great War models. Possible commission by Drawing Office. Museum has on display an original SE5A (repainted from original livery) and model of Fokker triplane, which may have been sources for scene.
